AAUW Supports Strengthening Title IX
The Department of Education released new, strengthened Title IX rules to increase protections for survivors of sexual assault and harassment, clarify protections for pregnant and parenting students, and make explicit that Title IX protections apply to LGBTQ students. AAUW-WA supports immediate implementation of the new Title IX rules. National AAUW is asking states and branches to send an open letter to their state and local school administrators.
