AAUW began as an organization to open doors for women to pursue their goals of higher education. Today, those doors have expanded to include:

• Awarding grants and fellowships to women for research projects or degree programs
• Providing a leadership conference with NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education)
• Advocating for educational equity

AAUW branches in Washington State:

• Provide local scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students
• Support 7th graders to attend STEM summer camp TechTrek
• Partner with colleges to hold Expanding Your Horizons conferences
• Engage with their local colleges and universities through AAUW’s College and University Partnership program and its benefits for students and faculty, and see a list of Washington current C/U Partners.
