Scholar Recognition

Our Scholar Recognition Program is an annual event sponsored by many of the branches in our state.  The purpose of the program is to recognize the achievement of high school girls, who are selected by their respective faculties, who have excelled in science, mathematics, or technology.  Each branch that has a Scholar Recognition Program may choose to honor their recipients in different ways, such as inviting the girls and their family members and/or teachers to a special program in their honor.

In 2009-2010, 425 scholars from 159 schools across the state were honored as part of the AAUW-WA Scholar Recognition Program.
