AAUW continues its legacy of philanthropy through State and National Funding. Also, many of our state branches have local funds.

After more than 125 years of history, AAUW continues its legacy of philanthropy in support of women and girls.  AAUW has a long and distinguished history of advancing educational and professional opportunities for women in the United States and around the globe.

AAUW National Funds

Each year our national dues and donations to AAUW provide millions of dollars in fellowships, grants, and awards for outstanding women around the world and for community action projects. More than 10,000 fellowhsips and grants have been presented to women and girls in more than 130 countries since the first award in 1888. Changes to AAUW bylaws in 2009 merged the Educational Foundation, the Legal Advocacy Fund, and the Leadership Training Institute under one 501c3 organization, now called AAUW Funds.  All donations to AAUW Funds are tax deductible.
